Historic Timbertown Heritage Theme Park in Wauchope transports visitors back to the old timbercutting days of the 1800's. | Historical Sites
For the historically minded the area is steeped in history with the area being one of the Australia's original penal settlements.
There are numerous old sites and museums, to visit as well as the historic cemetery in the center of Port Macquarie.
The area is well known for ship wrecks in years gone by and the many plaques describe how many met their fate.
Take a walk down memory lane and experince life how it was 100 years ago in the days of timber cutting at the historic Timbertown Heritage Theme Park.
The whistle of the working steam locomotive transporting visitors throughout the park is a common sound throughout Wauchope.
